Meet Shortland Street stalker Hayley
After causing all sorts of mischief on Shortland Street, the fiery redhead made a dramatic exit from the Kiwi soap last night. But there's still more twists to come as part of Shorty's 20th anniversary celebrations, weeknights, 7pm, TV2.
The town and country I was born in: Auckland, New Zealand.
I'm best known for: Playing Chris Warner's delusional stalker Hayley O'Neill.
My last two jobs were: Acting in Irirangi Bay for Maori Television's six-part series Atamira, which brings feature length Maori plays to the small screen, and on TV2's Shortland Street.
The last thing I watched was: The HBO mini-series of Mildred Pierce, adapted from James M. Cain's novel. The acting is extraordinary, particularly the performances from Kate Winslet, Guy Pearce and Evan Rachel Wood. I'm also a huge fan of Boardwalk Empire and just watched seasons one and two back-to-back. It's incredible.
I got where I am today because... I love performing. Despite attempts to be practical and do something else, I cannot find anything I enjoy as much. I find so much joy and challenge and release in acting, it's my favourite thing to do. I'm also still acting due to the support and encouragement of my family, friends and a handful of industry professionals that I admire and trust.
My TV hero is: It's a tie between Californication's Eddie Nero played by Rob Lowe, and Chris Lilley in We Can Be Heroes. They are absolutely hilarious.
I secretly crave: Fries.
My worst subject at school was: Maths.
One thing I can do better than anybody else is: I make a pretty decent Baked Vanilla Cheesecake.
I would do a nude scene for: (Boardwalk Empire's) Michael Pitt and good lighting.
Twitter is... not really my buzz.
I'd leap at the chance to... play the leading lady.
My momentary style obsession is: Leopard print. This moment has lasted years. Thank you Peggy Bundy.
When you're on telly, you really can't get away with: Road rage.
I was once completely embarrassed when: I entered an online competition for a professional photography session which I hoped I could use for my new acting headshots. When I turned up at the secluded photography studio, I soon realised the shoot would be far more X-rated. Needless to say I passed on the offer.
